As the weather cools, I look forward to transplanting and planting in the garden. I'm relieved that, this year, does not bring huge changes, just fine-tuning edits. I've begun with the removal of Bergenia 'Pink Butterfly' and Begonia 'Million Kisses' and replaced with Pieris 'Cavatine' and purple Tradescantia. The Tradescantia is an annual that I'll remove before frost.

I've also planted 4 Trachelospermum jasminoides along the fence line, cut back the lily stems and pruned the Azara which created more space in the planting bed, brings attention to the trunks of the Trachycarpus fortunei and allows more light to reach the jasmine along the fence line.

It's always nice to see that I'm not the only one who constantly rethinks the garden!
You are definitely NOT the only one!
Looking good! I'm sort of "rediscovering" Pieris. I hated them for so long, and do dislike the weevil and spider mite problems they can suffer from but that citron yellow new spring foliage (or peachy pink, or bronze) is awfully pretty and the fragrance of the flowers is delightful. I always seem to come back 'round to some version of those old-fashioned plants, eventually...
